Zara-Leigh Farinha

Born in Johannesburg and now based in Hout Bay, Cape Town, Zara Leigh Farinha is an intuitive artist and much-loved studio teacher whose expressive paintings embrace colour, emotion, spontaneity and the joy of simply creating. Working primarily on large-format canvases in acrylic and oil, she trusts instinct, emotion and raw creativity to guide her abstract work.

Gaby Blumberg

German-born artist Gabriele Blumberg is based in Cape Town, where she creates expressive paintings inspired by nature, memory and the experiences that shape us. Her work explores the connection between the landscapes around us and our inner worlds, using layered textures, gestural marks and fragmented forms. Gabriele works intuitively, allowing each painting to develop naturally as she builds layers of colour, texture and form. Her work has been exhibited at SASA Gallery, Kirstenbosch, Bellville Art Centre and the Hout Bay & Llandudno Art Fair. She was a finalist in the 2024 Vuleka Art Competition and received a SASA Award in 2026 for Dissolving Memory.

Karen van Huyssteen

Karen van Huyssteen is a South African artist whose lifelong love of creativity began growing up on a farm in Plettenberg Bay. After studying fashion design in Cape Town and building a career in decor and interior design, Karen returned to her first love of painting, drawing on her strong understanding of colour, space and design. Her joyful, expressive works blend figurative and abstract elements, reflecting her adventurous spirit.
